Jan Levine: NHL Should Do The Right Thing and Postpone the Rangers-Islanders Game Now
Safety should be the primary concern...

NHL typically does the right thing when it comes to situations like this. I expect the game to be postponed.

I wonder if they told the Rangers the game might be moved to Wednesday, part of the reason why they went out early.

It also wouldn't be the first time a snowstorm didn't live up to the hype it's given so maybe they're waiting to see how it develops more?

I wanna see this game played tbh. After a week of no real hockey and the importance of this game and the renewed rivalry, I was really looking forward to it.

Yes that was the first thing I noticed as well... I just knew that I did not have tickets so it couldn't be at MSG

This was the first year I went on vacation and was not able to see the rangers while away from home. I can't even remember the last time I've missed a game before these last 2 weeks. Years. It's been almost 3 weeks since I've seen rangers hockey. I don't know if i can make it another day.

But in all seriousness, for the safety of everyone involved, you're right. They should move this thing to Wednesday.

And the only thing worse than watching the All Star game (which I was lucky enough to miss) was seeing the post game done on the NHL network. They were over enthusiastic reviewing the highlights... who the F were they trying to kid, the entire game was sh!t and I saw nothing in the highlights that even remotely resembles a decent play. Looked like pregame warm ups.

Pierre McGuire was on TSN 1050 this morning and said that the NHL may postpone tomorrow’s Rangers/Islanders game at Nassau Coliseum until Wednesday due to the blizzard that is expected to arrive in the New York area today/tomorrow. (TSN)

Pierre said that the weather is going to be “that hellacious” in the New York area.

Both the Rangers and Islanders are off on Wednesday and play on Thursday.

Yeah, snow is one thing, 30 inches a different kettle of fish. Though, we get we don't have the intestinal fortitude of our neighbors to the north

30 is a pretty big dump.
That would slow us down a bit in Montreal... Business would go on as usual but definitely slowed down a bit.
